Greetings lovely LFST viewers!
Our guests this month are members of Stockton, California’s “209 All Stars”: Tim Helbling (center) , Justin Jones (far left) and Allen Mehlaff (bass).
Each member of the band is also a member of their own original groups in the area and come together to perform a mixture of cover songs and original tracks of several genres.
In the bands own words, "we will play anywhere , anytime, just about any style."
Helbling, in particular, also fronts his original band Minor Dischord (rock/funk fusion) and is a member of Off The Hook (Motown/R&B covers).
Playing guitar since 1988, he has been inspired and influenced in his songwriting by many styles and eras of music. Having no fear to create what pops into his head is what makes for a great dynamic among all the musicians he has played , jammed and performed with through the years.
Besides guitar, which Helbling describes as a lifelong learning experience, he also plays bass ,mandolin, and congas.
