Our guests for September are Modesto's Melissa Dalrymple (lead vocals/acoustic guitar/banjo) and Logan Coates (acoustic guitar) of the indie-rock/jazz group COLOUR.
With roots that extend downward into rich musical soil, Colour is growing quickly and ripe for bloom. From the small town of Lynchburg, VA, vocalist/instrumentalist Melissa Dalrymple began writing and performing at a very young age. When she met her now husband Tim Dalrymple (drummer/producer) while traveling and playing music together, they connected in a very special way, and the result was a marriage of both person and musical ingenuity.
They relocated to Modesto, California in 2005, and were joined by Logan Coats (electric guitar) and Kris Luis (bass guitar), and at that time they came to be known as Colour. By performing consistently the last two years, they have developed an incredibly loyal community and fan base, and with the release of their first album last October, The Grey EP, Colour has been looking toward the future with great anticipation.
