As many of you may know, in December of 2009, Stan Blackshire passed away. This month we are repeating his show in his honor for his family and his fans. Stan B. was on our show in July of '09 and I must tell you he was one of the most humble guys we'd ever met and worked with. Such an awesome singer and talent and a very important part of the striving Sacramento soul music scene. He will truly be missed. -RL

This month, r&b vocalist Stan Blackshire (Stan B.) brings the classic soul to LeGarreta's Lounge!
With a voice reminiscent of soul stirrers Donny Hathaway and Teddy Pendergrass--Stan is one of those singers where as soon as he sings the first word of a song, you already know he's gonna bring that real soul singing to the forefront.
Stan B. definitely holds his own as a strong presence among the many talented neo soul and r&b artists here in Sacramento.
One special note: Stan was the featured vocalist on the song "Cant Fix It" (performed in this episode), which appeared on the double platinum Gangrelated movie soundtrack, starring Tupac and Jim Belushi.
